Repair, troubleshooting and phone support 

Preferred Depot is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated technical support professional with strong technical abilities to join its growing team. The ideal candidate would have a great attitude with a dynamic skill set that is willing to help with all aspects of product demonstration and installation, call center responsibilities and infrastructure, including management of call center personnel.


  • Oversee technical support and call center initiatives for client products in a variety of industries ranging from consumer electronics to professional medical equipment and packaging machinery

  • Coordinate machine transportation, installations, and repairs for various client

  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization

  • Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks

  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions

  • Produce timely and detailed service reports

  • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to the final resolution

Desired skills & Experience

  • Technical troubleshooting ability

  • Familiarity with measurement tools (DVM, oscilloscope, power meter, etc.)

  • Exhibits initiative and advanced customer service skills

  • Diligence and commitment to following through and resolving problems

  • A proven team player who proactively assists other team members

  • Overall high level knowledge of web based technologies

  • Desktop and network support experience preferred

  • AA degree or higher required
